⚠️ Data Exposure: Bitcoin ATM fraud cases hit a record high in 2025. According to the latest alert from the FBI, cryptocurrency scams through ATM channels have become a major focus of criminal activity. These scams typically involve false investment promises or inducements to withdraw funds, with victims often being ordinary users lacking cryptocurrency knowledge. As Bitcoin and other digital assets become more widespread, related criminals are also upgrading their methods. Users should be especially cautious when using Bitcoin ATMs and avoid conducting transactions under the guidance of strangers. The FBI report once again reminds us of the importance of conducting risk assessments before participating in cryptocurrency transactions.

Let me take a look at the data in this FBI report... From an engineering perspective, ATM fraud is effective primarily due to information asymmetry. Victims lack basic key management knowledge, and this vulnerability has been systematically exploited. It needs to be clarified that this is not a Bitcoin issue, but a lack of user education.

Here they come again, these scammers are getting more and more rampant... I have friends who have fallen for it, claiming guaranteed returns, but once the money is in, they disappear. Oh my god, I’ve never dared to touch things like ATMs, they seem too risky. Novice users say they don’t understand it, so they just won’t play. It’s better to be honest and HODL. The FBI has even issued warnings, which indicates the problem is quite serious... Everyone still needs to be more cautious. That’s why I say the crypto world still requires doing your own research; don’t be fooled and get taken advantage of.

Really? ATM scams are so rampant? Someone around me has been scammed before, a stranger by the ATM told him "I'll help you make quick money," and he lost five thousand yuan directly. Another new trick to trap rookies, these days you can't even trust ATMs. Newbies really shouldn't mess around; these things are hard to prevent. Now I see someone near the ATM, I just stay away. Novice users are truly prey for scammers. Do they have to pay tuition because of lack of knowledge? All-time high... Alright, they’re even adding self-defense courses for us to work overtime. Scammers, please upgrade faster; we can't keep up anymore.
