Has anyone followed the Azra Games project? They raised $68.3 million from 2022 to 2024, with support from top institutions like a16z. Recently, their first game Ungodly is in soft launch, but the official announcement says it's only available in New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
I asked around my friends and found that the level of attention to this project in the Asia-Pacific region is really not high, and the information is quite scattered. Has anyone actually experienced this game? Or are there some project details that haven't been publicly announced yet? I especially want to hear everyone's thoughts on the game mechanics and economic model. If there are any updates in the community, feel free to share.

Ah, it's another project backed by a16z. I know this routine well—tons of money poured in, but who are actually playing the game?

a16z endorsement is indeed attractive, but this soft launch with regional restrictions is too suspicious, just worried it’s another prelude to a rug pull
Heard of it but no one has tried it, Asia-Pacific is really a information vacuum, what should we do?
A game built with 68 million in funding, how innovative can the mechanics be? I remain skeptical
Feels like another project where the fundraising story outweighs the game itself...
The official stance is secretive, there are quite a few issues

a16z backs 68.3 million? That fundraising scale is indeed impressive... However, soft launches are only available in a few English-speaking regions, which is a bit outrageous, and Asia-Pacific players are being marginalized.
By the way, how exactly is Ungodly's economic model designed? Could it be another scheme of crazy early-stage profit-taking... I'm a bit cautious about it.
Has anyone tested the beta? Can you share some insights? I really want to know if the game mechanics are reliable.
Well, but projects backed by Tier 1 institutions still deserve some attention; maybe there's an opportunity... It's just that the information is too scattered, which is a bit annoying.

68.3 million in funding sounds impressive, but these geographic restrictions of the soft launch... have some hidden intentions.
a16z's endorsement definitely adds points, but I wonder if the game itself can live up to the expectations.
Asia-Pacific really feels neglected, it seems like the old pattern of prioritizing the West before Asia.

a16z endorsement is indeed convincing, but I've seen this kind of soft launch strategy with regional restrictions many times... It still feels like they're testing the market response.
