Alameda Research former CEO Caroline Ellison to be released next January
According to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Alameda Research former Co-CEO Caroline Ellison will be released from federal prison on January 21, 2026. Caroline Ellison had previously been transferred from Connecticut prison to community confinement in October. On December 20, the US SEC issued a notice of lawsuit stating that former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is still serving time in federal prison for fraud, while executives including former CEO Caroline Ellison of Alameda Research have agreed to a settlement, which still requires court approval. Other executives who signed the settlement include Zixiao Wang, former CTO of FTX Trading, and Nishad Singh, former Co-CEO of FTX.
