Is Bitcoin faith reigniting again? Saylor restarts “Laser Eyes,” and giant whales collectively add to their positions

Gate News reports that by the end of March 2026, market sentiment for Bitcoin has once again heated up. MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor changed his profile picture on social media to feature “laser eyes” and captioned it, “It’s time to bring back the laser eyes,” quickly attracting market attention. This iconic symbol was widely circulated during the 2021 bull market and is generally regarded as a strongly bullish signal for Bitcoin.

Historically, Saylor has only used this symbol during highly bullish phases, and his actions often align with institutional-level capital deployment. In the current context, this move is interpreted as a key market participant’s renewed bet on future price trends.

From the perspective of holdings, MicroStrategy remains one of the most aggressive institutional Bitcoin investors. To date, the company has accumulated approximately 761,068 Bitcoins, accounting for about 3.6% of the total supply, with an average cost of around $75,696. Although the current price is below its cost range and there are unrealized losses on the books, its ongoing accumulation strategy has not wavered—in fact, it has reaffirmed a long-term goal of holding 1 million Bitcoins by the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, other high-net-worth participants in the market are also acting in concert. Real estate investor Grant Cardone quickly followed Saylor’s lead, publicly stating he will add 100 Bitcoins within a week. This “resonant addition” further strengthens the market’s perception of a bottoming zone.

From a behavioral finance perspective, large capital continues to accumulate during periods of price pressure, which often indicates recognition of long-term value rather than short-term speculation. Although Bitcoin’s price has not yet broken out of its oscillating pattern, on-chain data and funding changes are gradually building a new supply-demand balance.

The return of “laser eyes” is both a sentiment signal and potentially a leading indicator of a cycle turning point. For the market, the more critical question is: is this the start of a new upward phase, or a stage of reinforcement within a long-term strategic game?
