The U.S. House of Representatives proposes to review the DeFi project related to the Trump family

Democratic members of the United States House of Representatives have sent a request to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to review the activities of World Liberty Financial — a decentralized finance (DeFi) project believed to be connected to the Donald Trump family.

According to data from NS3.AI, the investigation proposal aims to clarify the risks of conflicts of interest and national security concerns surrounding the $500 million deal between the Trump family and the UAE royal family. The lawmakers also expressed concerns about potential financial instability and questioned the level of commitment from the Treasury Department in addressing related issues.
