Pi Network Boosts App Studio Tools and Warns Users of New Scams

Pi Network is stepping up its focus on real use cases. With around 134 million Pi tokens set to unlock soon, the project says its answer is utility, not hype. This week, Pi expanded tools inside Pi App Studio. The update lets users build apps without coding skills. It also allows simple Test-Pi payments inside those apps.

Community accounts say more than 1.17 million Pi moved off exchanges in 24 hours. Supporters see this as a sign of long term conviction during a volatile period. At the same time, Pi Network highlighted strong community activity. Over 15.8 million users joined its first Mainnet vote. The platform said this showed readiness for deeper decentralization.

No-code payments open app building to everyone

The biggest change comes inside Pi App Studio. Creators can now add Pi payments using simple prompts. They don’t need to write code. For now, the system uses Test-Pi. This allows safe testing before Mainnet payments go live. Users can charge Pi for items or features during a live app session. For example, they can unlock content or buy digital goods. Purchases reset when the session ends. Still, Pi Network says this lays the foundation for future persistent payments.

Pi Network also added an option to deploy apps without paying Pi. Users can watch ads instead when their Pi App Studio balance falls below a set level. This helps non-migrated users and beginners experiment. Pi says the goal is clear: lower barriers, increase experimentation and grow real utility across the ecosystem.

AI links and network upgrades add momentum

Community posts also tied Pi App Studio tools to AI. Supporters pointed to comments from Binance founder CZ at Davos, where he said AI will likely use crypto for payments instead of bank cards. Pi advocates say Pi’s AI App Studio already reflects that idea by charging Pi for AI-based app creation on Testnet.

Pi also teased a Proof of Concept with OpenMind. In this setup, Pi Nodes would help train AI models. Node providers would earn Pi for their work. In parallel, Pi rolled out an upgrade tied to Stellar Protocol v25. It includes an improved privacy system and lower costs for zero-knowledge contracts. The update aims to make migration smoother and improve performance for future apps. Together, these steps show Pi is building Pi App Studio tools and infrastructure.

Pi warns users about new scam tactics

While pushing upgrades, Pi also issued fresh scam warnings. Community moderators shared a case where a user lost several hundred yuan to a fake withdrawal scheme. The scam promised easy cashouts but trapped users in repeated payments

Pi Network warned that such scams often use fake comment sections and group accounts to appear real. Victims are pushed to deposit more money but never receive withdrawals. The message to users is simple. Only trust official Pi channels. Never send Pi or personal data to unknown platforms and report suspicious links. As more tools roll out, Pi says scammers will also try harder. That makes awareness just as important as development.

A busy phase for the Pi ecosystem

Pi Network now sits at an important moment. On one side, it is adding no-code tools and payment features. On the other hand, it deals with growth risks like congestion and scams. The recent Pi App Studio queues showed heavy demand. The Mainnet vote showed scale and the scam alerts showed the need for caution. For Pi, the next phase is about balance. Build useful apps, support creators and protect users. Utility is the pitch and safety is the warning.

Pi Network price hits a new 7-week low as a wave of 60 million token unlocks comes in

Pi Network's native token PI fell to $0.165 in April, hitting a 7-week low and leaving market sentiment weak. The unlock peak will release more than 60 million PI, adding downward pressure. Despite the core team recently publishing technical updates, it failed to improve market confidence and instead drew community criticism due to KYC access issues and the ongoing slide in price. Increased future supply could further drive prices lower.
