According to Gate News bot, CoinDesk reported that Kaweewut Temphuwapat, the new CEO of SCB10X, a venture capital institution under Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), recently gave a speech. He pointed out that Thai regulators are taking an actively innovative approach in the field of encryption finance, while Thailand’s payment infrastructure remains robust.

Kaweewut Temphuwapat revealed that Thai banking institutions, including Siam Commercial Bank, are preparing to pilot direct holdings of encryption assets under a sandbox framework. He emphasized: “This is a clear intention, and the regulatory authorities have allowed us to proceed on a small scale.”
