We have served in high-risk areas in a country that has experienced terrorism for 50 years. All of us have witnessed at least one military coup. For years, our homes, shops, and neighborhoods have been filled with people fleeing wars from Syria, Iran, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Iraq, and Ukraine. The dirt and grime of the Middle East have seeped into our bones. They ask, "What do you know about wars? What are your comments?" Damn it, is there a nation that understands war better than our people?
