According to Wu, ABS-CBN reported that the Philippine electronic wallet platform GCash announced support for users to receive, purchase, hold, and use the stablecoin USDC issued by Circle. GCash stated that users can exchange USDC through the GCrypto feature within its app, aimed at providing users with a more stable digital asset option and enhancing the accessibility of Financial Services. GCrypto was launched in 2023 and currently supports transactions of encryption assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
