The Federal Reserve's group of "Tai Chi masters" has once again had their cards exposed by the market! Let's be straightforward, if you want to wait for these bigwigs to start dishing out money, you'll probably need to take a few cold showers first. Take a look at the latest probability leaderboard; the Fed's current stance is basically "I won't move if you don't." By June, the probability of holding interest rates steady is as high as 92.8%! Rate cuts? That's less than a 10% "lottery" chance. Looking further ahead, July isn't much better, with the chance of maintaining the status quo still close to 90%. Even by September, after everyone has been hoping and praying, the probability of keeping things unchanged remains firmly around 83%.
