Interesting development that caught my attention recently. Telegram's been quietly building out its TON network space, and it looks like they've got some serious AI ambitions brewing. Pavel Durov announced at Blockchain Life 2025 that Cocoon, their TON-based AI network, was targeting a November launch. The whole thing is designed around decentralized AI computations with GPU mining at its core.

What makes this notable is the privacy angle they're pushing. Instead of relying on centralized AI infrastructure, they're creating a network where computations happen across distributed GPU resources. That's a pretty different approach from what most of the space has been doing. The integration with Telegram's existing ecosystem also means they're not building in isolation, which could give them some real adoption advantages.

GPU mining for AI tasks is becoming a bigger deal across the industry, but having it directly woven into a Telegram-based network is still relatively novel. You've got millions of Telegram users already, so if this network-based model gains traction, the potential reach is significant. The data protection emphasis also aligns with what users are increasingly demanding.

I've been watching how different projects are approaching decentralized AI, and Telegram's infrastructure play here is worth paying attention to. Whether it actually gains meaningful adoption will depend on execution, but the foundation they're building on TON gives them some interesting leverage. Definitely one to keep an eye on if you're tracking developments in the AI and blockchain space.
