I just saw something quite impressive in the latest Forbes news. Elon Musk has broken another historic record by becoming the first person to surpass $800 billion in net worth. We're talking about $839 billion, which is simply enormous.
The interesting part is how he got here. In just one month, his wealth grew by $64 billion thanks to the increase in the valuation of his companies. Looking at the bigger picture, since the start of 2026, he has accumulated over $100 billion in new assets. That’s the kind of growth rate that makes you wonder what the real drivers behind these valuations are.
If you review Musk’s net worth trajectory over the past few months, you see a pretty accelerated pattern. In October of last year, it hit $500 billion, then in December jumped to $600 billion, and later to $700 billion. And now, in April, he surpassed that $800 billion mark. He has maintained his position as the world’s richest person since May 2024, so this isn’t a temporary spike.
What also catches attention is the gap. He’s more than $500 billion ahead of the second-richest person, Larry Page. That’s a colossal difference. Musk’s net worth has become almost on another level compared to the rest of the ultra-rich.
If you’re one of those who follow these wealth movements and valuations, it’s definitely worth monitoring how this trend continues. On Gate, you can follow the movements of his companies and better understand how they reflect in the markets.
