Nucor extends HRC price increase streak

Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, has increased its hot-rolled coil (HRC) consumer spot price by US$10 per short ton, reaching US$1,055. This marks the 13th consecutive week of price increases, resulting in a 20.6% rise over the last six months. Pricing at its California Steel Industries facility also saw a US$10 increase to US$1,105 per short ton, while lead times for HRC delivery remain steady at three to five weeks.
