Iran Denies New US-Iran Negotiations, Says Trump 'Lied Again'
On April 22, in response to U.S. President Trump’s remarks about a possible new round of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran on the 24th, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency stated that Trump ‘lied again’ and that Iran has not yet decided to participate in the talks on the 24th. The report mentioned that Trump, in ‘contradictory statements’ to the New York Post, indicated that the second round of talks with Iran could take place on the 24th. However, so far, Iran has not changed its plan to abstain from the negotiations. The Iranian government has not yet made an official statement regarding the extension of the ceasefire period.
