Iranian Foreign Minister Visits Islamabad, Date for Next US-Iran Talks Remains Unclear

On April 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian left Muscat, Oman, for Islamabad, Pakistan, after talks with the Sultan of Oman. Note: Islamabad, Pakistan, was the location of the last round of US-Iran talks. According to Middle Eastern media reports, the second round of negotiations between Iran and the US is scheduled to take place on April 27 (local time, Monday). However, data from PolyBeats indicates that the probability of the ‘next round of US-Iran diplomatic meetings’ on various proposed dates has decreased, with only a 15% chance remaining for dates before the 30th, down from a high of 95% earlier this week.
