CoinWorld News, Ukrainian President Zelensky announced at a joint press conference with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Kyiv that the first tranche of the 90 billion euro loan frozen by the European Union will be fully used to develop Ukraine's domestic defense production, covering areas such as drones, military technology, and related fields. Zelensky introduced that the total loan amount is 90 billion euros, with 45 billion euros allocated in 2026, to be disbursed in multiple installments. Additionally, the funds will be invested in the energy sector to support the protection of energy facilities and related work. Zelensky admitted that the delayed disbursement of funds has affected Ukraine's defense production over the past two months, but the current production level is good, and efforts will be made to catch up on the schedule.
