Novogratz: The U.S. Clear Act may pass in May
Crypto World News reports that Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz stated that the Clear Act could advance in May, providing a clear pathway for the cryptocurrency industry under federal regulations. The bill aims to define how digital assets operate in the United States. Novogratz mentioned in a podcast with SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci that the bill might enter committee in early May and could be sent to President Trump’s desk in June. He emphasized that passing the bill is significant for both Democrats and Republicans and can help the U.S. maintain financial innovation. Novogratz also pointed out that the Clear Act will enable more people to access U.S. financial products through crypto wallets and mentioned that many still cannot participate in the U.S. economy through normal financial channels. The bill’s progress has not matched early market expectations; many crypto participants had hoped for faster action after the bill passed the House in July 2025, but disputes between banks and crypto companies have slowed the process.
