Stopping losses really feels like breaking up... You know it's not right, but you keep dragging it out, saying "Give it one more chance," and then every day you're glued to the screen with your heart pounding, and before bed, you have to review your trades again, the longer you drag, the more it hurts. Honestly, admitting defeat early is like clarifying things; even though it's embarrassing for a second, it saves more than just your emotions later— it also saves "interest" (time and attention).

Recently, I've been talking about rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and risk assets swinging back and forth, sounding like the whole world is giving you reasons to keep holding. But no matter how sweet the narrative, it will melt away. I now prefer to take a small loss and walk away, keeping some clarity to wait for the next sweet treat. Anyway, not getting emotional is the hardest part.
