Breaking even is really a bit like a breakup; knowing it's not right but still dragging it out, watching it reply to you a little bit every day (a rebound), and then starting to fantasize again. In the end, not only the principal is lost, but also emotions, time, and opportunity costs all accrue interest. Honestly, the most expensive thing is refusing to admit you're wrong.

Recently, the airdrop season is the same; the point system makes earning tokens feel like clocking in at work, and the task platforms are even more absurdly anti-witchcraft, the more competitive it gets, the more it feels like setting KPIs for a project, and they might not even pay you a "salary." I now have one principle: if it feels uncomfortable, just withdraw. Don’t treat sunk costs as feelings.

Next time, I plan to prepare a "breakup line" in advance; when the time comes, I’ll leave without storytelling. How do you overcome that illusion of "just wait a little longer, I’ll break even"?
