Agricultural costs rise due to Iran conflict, Turkey cancels some fertilizer tariffs

The Turkish Ministry of Trade announced on the 3rd that Turkey has canceled tariffs on some basic nitrogen fertilizers and compound fertilizers such as urea to protect the agricultural sector from rising costs caused by the Iran conflict and to promote fertilizer supply security. In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Trade said that the impact of the Iran conflict on supply chains and product prices has become apparent, and this measure is aimed at preventing “speculative price fluctuations.” (Xinhua News Agency)
