Recently, the narrative around modularization and the DA layer has gotten developers really excited. In the group, a bunch of people are nodding along enthusiastically, while users are basically: "Huh? What's this new skin again..."
I’ll focus on one main point: the issue you posted, can everyone see it (data availability), who posts first and who posts later (ordering), and ultimately, does it count or could it cause a failure (finality).
Don’t be scared by the terminology—simply put, it’s “public or private, how the queue is ordered, whether the stamp counts.”
I see complexity as the enemy, so when voting on governance proposals, I only ask one question: does this change make users feel more secure, or does it just raise the cost of explanation?
Anyway, I’m on the side that feels more solid.
