🚨 Vitalik Sets the Tone for Ethereum's Future: Speed is Not the First Priority; Security Is the Core!

In his opening speech at the Hong Kong Web3 Festival, Vitalik Buterin once again elaborated on Ethereum's core development direction.

His stance is very clear:

Ethereum does not aim to become the "fastest-performing" blockchain.

Instead, Ethereum always adheres to a very clear priority:

1️⃣ Security First
2️⃣ Decentralization Second
3️⃣ Improve performance on this basis

In other words, Ethereum values long-term stability and trustworthiness more than short-term speed competition.

💡 Vitalik also emphasizes a key concept — "Exit Testing"

Simply put:

A truly mature blockchain system,
Even if the core development team no longer participates in maintenance in the future, it can still operate safely and stably.

This means the protocol itself must have the ability to operate independently over the long term, rather than relying on a specific team for ongoing operation.

The goal of this design is to make Ethereum ultimately:

• A long-term trustworthy digital asset network
• The infrastructure for decentralized applications
• A financial underlying system that can withstand cycles

🌱 A message for all investors:

A truly great system,
Is not the one that runs the fastest for a moment,
But the one that can still operate stably after ten or twenty years.

In the crypto world,
Short-term speed competition, long-term trust. 🚀
