Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: U.S. rescue operation for the pilot may be an attempt to steal enriched uranium
ME News Report, April 6 (UTC+8), on April 6 local time, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bagheri responded to questions at a press conference, stating that the U.S. rescue operation of its pilots on April 5 constituted an intrusion into Iranian airspace and raised many doubts. The area where the American pilots are claimed to be located is in Kogiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, while the rescue operation was carried out in central Iran, and the two locations are far apart. Bagheri emphasized that the U.S. action might be a “cover operation” aimed at stealing enriched uranium, and this possibility should not be ignored. He described the operation as a “disastrous scandal” for the United States. (Source: ODAILY)
