Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Accelerate the development of urgently needed standards, and formulate and release standards for autonomous driving, data security, and other areas.
Mars Finance News April 17 – The Sixth National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee Establishment Conference was held in Beijing on the 16th. Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xin Guobin attended the conference and delivered a speech. Xin Guobin emphasized, “The 14th Five-Year Plan” period is an important window for China to build a strong automotive nation and expand its industrial competitive advantage. We must fully leverage the fundamental and leading role of standards in supporting industrial development, and promote high-quality automotive industry development through high-level standards. We need to continuously improve the standard system, systematically plan and proactively layout, and establish the “14th Five-Year” technical standard system for the automotive industry. We should accelerate the formulation of urgently needed standards, including those for autonomous driving, data security, cybersecurity, carbon footprint accounting, and automotive artificial intelligence. We must strengthen the management of standards throughout their entire lifecycle, innovate working mechanisms, models, and methods, increase efforts in standard publicity and implementation effectiveness, and conduct dynamic assessments to form a closed-loop management system. Additionally, we should enhance international standard and regulation coordination, deeply participate in the formulation of global automotive standards and regulations, promote standard collaboration and mutual recognition of testing, and better serve China’s automotive industry going global.
