Minmetals Futures: Short-term domestic lithium salt spot supply is slightly easing, but resource-side uncertainty remains high

Recently, the lithium carbonate market’s contradictions have concentrated on the resource side. This week, the expectation of mining contraction has somewhat improved, with long positions actively exiting the market, and contracts reducing positions for two consecutive days. In the short term, domestic lithium salt spot shortages have slightly eased, but uncertainties on the resource side remain high. Whether the inventory depletion trend will be fully reversed still needs to be observed. Lithium battery demand is expected to remain strong, with price corrections releasing downstream stocking demand. The focus for the future market will be on changes in open interest, industry-driven events, and fluctuations in spot premiums and discounts. (Minmetals Futures)
