The biggest pitfall lately isn't really technology, but attention being led astray. When a hot topic shifts, the entire timeline is filled with "new narratives," and people get itchy to chase after them. After chasing, they realize they're just carrying water for others... My current simple method: first see if the funds are "moving" or just shouting. On-chain data, cross-chain bridges, inflows of stablecoins—these things aren't glamorous, but at least they don't deceive easily.

The macro side is also quite noisy, with debates over rate cut expectations, the dollar index moving in tandem with risk assets—up and down together. Basically, when emotions run high, it's easier for people to chase gains and sell at losses. Anyway, I'd rather miss out on some opportunities than get cut by hot topics every day. Moving slowly keeps my mindset steadier.
