I started recording my feelings a few seconds before and after each swap: is it "I'm seizing an opportunity," or "I'm paying tuition for others." The more I record, the more I realize that things like sandwiches and arbitrage are, frankly, illusions in the slippage; others see your trembling hands rushing to execute a trade. Especially recently, with the main public chain about to upgrade/maintain, everyone in the group is guessing whether the project will move. I actually feel more nervous—during such uncertain times, it's easier to click the wrong link or sign the wrong authorization. Anyway, I now prefer to earn a little less and take an extra look at the signature content. Before pressing the button, I first repeat in my mind: "Am I just paying a fee right now?"
