Recently, I keep running into a bunch of terms like “data availability / ordering / finality,” and the longer the name, the more it sounds like they’re trying to charge you. If I boil it down: I follow one main thread—can others also see the transaction you’re looking at (don’t hide the data), who has the right to put you at the front or back (don’t let someone cut in), and in the end, does it really get settled (don’t roll it back a couple of days later). The whole “yield stacking” thing about re-staking / shared security has gotten pretty loud, but what I’m seeing is just one feeling: the more layers there are, the less you know who to blame when something goes wrong.

Later, I thought it was pretty funny—I’ve even got my hardware wallet collecting dust, and I’m still overthinking these terms… Anyway, before I sign now, I make sure to look at the domain name and permissions one more time. If it’s slow, it’s slow—just don’t make phishing any easier or help it succeed.
