Recently, on-chain data is always "lagging," but it's mostly not because your internet is bad... Indexers/Subgraphs are like someone organizing raw on-chain logs into "queryable tables" in the background. They need to synchronize and rebuild, and sometimes when nodes shake or the index falls behind, your queries will be slow. Plus, with RPC rate limiting, when too many people access the public endpoints, queues form, resulting in pages spinning and balances/positions only updating every few seconds.

Airdrop season has made this even more obvious. Task platforms with anti-witching measures and point systems make everyone interact like clocking in at work, and RPC overload is normal. For someone like me who just wants to steadily earn from stablecoins, data delays are really annoying: I don't want to be frantic, but when the interface stalls, I start doubting if I clicked something wrong again... Forget it, I’d rather confirm slowly, leave more buffer, and sleep well than anything else.
