How can a person see clearly who they are?

First, clarify your desires—distinguish whether what you truly want is money, status, or a sense of security and achievement; otherwise, it’s easy to be led around by external goals.
Second, observe your temperament, and understand which things will make your emotions spiral out of control, so you can identify your sensitivities and personality weaknesses.
Third, recognize your strengths, clearly define what you truly excel at, and what you rely on to stand firm in reality—this is the foundation for action and earning a living.
Fourth, set your bottom line: which principles must never be crossed, and which interests will not be traded—this is the boundary for a person’s stability and long-term trustworthiness.
Only when you’ve thought through these four things clearly can you, when facing choices and opportunities, avoid being derailed by impulsiveness or fantasies, and instead make steadier, more long-term effective judgments based on the real you.
