Foreign Ministry: China has been consistently advocating for peace and encouraging negotiations.

On April 8th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference. A reporter from The New York Times asked, “Has China ever explicitly requested Iran to agree to a ceasefire framework?” In response, Mao Ning said, “I have just outlined the work China has done. We have been actively mediating and promoting peace talks to bring an end to the fighting.” (The Paper)
