I just saw that many people in the community keep asking what exactly holding is, so I decided to share my experience with this strategy that has worked quite well for many of us.

Basically, holding means buying cryptocurrencies and keeping them for a long period hoping they will increase in price. Sounds simple, right? But the reality is that there is much more behind this decision. The first thing you need to understand is why people decide to invest long-term instead of doing active trading every day.

Cryptocurrencies tend to grow over time. Bitcoin is the clearest example, especially when halvings happen every four years. These events generate significant market movements, and if you're involved, the profits can be substantial. Altcoins like BTTC usually follow Bitcoin's trend, so if you understand what holding is and apply it correctly, you can take advantage of these cycles.

Now, there are different ways to do it. The most obvious is making a large investment all at once and waiting, which they call buy-and-hold. But if you have little capital or want to reduce risk, there are better options.

The first is Dollar Cost Averaging, which means buying similar amounts regularly regardless of the price. Every week, every month, you invest the same amount. In the end, your average price will be much better than trying to guess the best moment. It’s boring, but it works.

The second option is buying on dips. When you see a coin drop 10 or 15%, that’s when you enter. It’s more exciting than the previous one, but it requires discipline and market knowledge to avoid entering too early.

The truth is, what holding essentially is, is accumulating, no matter which method you use. Some will say that buying gradually has disadvantages because you don’t take advantage of big discounts, but honestly, if you’re just starting out, it’s much safer than trying to be a professional trader overnight.

My advice for beginners is to start with the basics. Buy, hold, let time pass. Gradually mature your knowledge. When you gain experience and truly understand how the market works, then you can try more complicated strategies. But for now, holding is your best friend. ♥
