Xibei Catering Announces Major Changes: CEO Resignation and Large-Scale Store Closures

According to 36Kr, Xibei Catering Group is facing severe challenges, with the company’s founder Jia Guolong stepping down as CEO and Dong Junyi returning to lead the main brand. Due to a decline in business volume, Xibei has carried out large-scale layoffs and store closures, with the current number of stores reduced by nearly half. The internal layoff plan includes unpaid leave, early performance-based severance payments, and “N” times compensation. Jia Guolong is actively seeking funding support and adjusting business strategies, hoping to overcome the difficulties by lowering the average customer spend and optimizing dish preparation. Xibei’s future is full of uncertainty, urgently needing innovation and market adaptation to turn the situation around.
