Deloitte: Hong Kong's new stock fundraising reached 109.9 billion HKD in the first quarter, ranking first worldwide

On April 8th, Deloitte’s statistics showed that in the first quarter of 2026, 40 new stocks were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising a total of 109.9 billion Hong Kong dollars, ranking first in the world. This also represents an increase of 167% in the number of new stocks compared to 15 new stocks raising 18.2 billion Hong Kong dollars in the same period last year, with total financing soaring by 504%. Among them, 3 mega-sized new stocks and 8 large new stocks contributed nearly 70% of the total new stock financing in the first quarter. Additionally, the Nasdaq ranked second globally in fundraising, and the New York Stock Exchange ranked third.
