$XTI Iranian officials say the U.S. is not genuinely negotiating

Jin10 Data, April 13 — The head of Iran's Parliament’s National Security Committee, Ibrahim Azizi, said in an interview on April 12 local time that from April 11 to 12 in Islamabad, Pakistan, the Americans were not conducting sincere negotiations. Instead, the U.S. was trying to use negotiations, under the cover of diplomatic rhetoric, to impose its will on Iran. Azizi said that Iran approached the U.S. with a sense of distrust, and firmly safeguarded the interests of the Iranian people in areas including the nuclear issue, the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions relief, and compensation claims—when the U.S. side saw Iran’s determination, they backed down.
