48 hours from production to table: JD.com's Seven Fresh Kitchen implements multiple measures to ensure full-process food safety

Following the public announcement of core ingredient suppliers in October 2025, on March 12, 2026, JD.com’s catering brand Qixian Xiaochu announced the full disclosure of the origin of key ingredients such as oil, rice, meat, and vegetables. This traceability of ingredients not only represents Qixian Xiaochu’s proactive commitment to food safety but also demonstrates its efforts to uphold food safety standards through concrete actions, ensuring consumers eat healthier and with greater peace of mind.

The transparency of the catering industry supply chain has become a necessary condition for consumers to “eat with confidence and peace of mind.”

Since its launch, Qixian Xiaochu has insisted on using non-GMO Grade 1 soybean oil, prioritizing food safety concerns that consumers care about most, and addressing their worries about cooking oil from the source. “The high-quality rice from the 47°N latitude golden planting belt” in Tailai County, Heilongjiang; pigs raised in Wengniute Banner, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia; pickled radishes produced in Meishan, Sichuan, known as the “hometown of kimchi”; and chili peppers grown on the Red Land of Baoshan, Yunnan… many high-quality ingredients from core production areas form the foundation of Qixian Xiaochu’s “safe and fresh” promise. From farm to table, Qixian Xiaochu, with authentic and fresh flavors, wins consumer trust through delicious and safe food.

The supply chain procurement leader of Qixian Xiaochu introduced: “In choosing ingredients for the supply chain, we not only focus on brand strength but also regard the origin as an important evaluation criterion. For certain crops like tomatoes and celery, we prioritize nearby suburban planting bases close to our stores, ensuring that ingredients reach consumers’ tables within 48 hours from the source, maximizing freshness.”

Supply chain transparency is the infrastructure of Qixian Xiaochu’s food safety, while multiple “food safety measures” are key to safeguarding food quality: from four-stage testing of vegetables before entering the factory and before cooking at the store, to the “two washes and one soak” standard process in the fresh-cut vegetable factory, and strict temperature control of cold chain delivery at ≤8°C… Additionally, an AI-powered full-chain food safety management system has been introduced, providing “double insurance” for food safety through technology and regulations, reducing consumer concerns.

Qixian Xiaochu, committed to maintaining food safety red lines, has gained widespread consumer recognition. Data shows that each Qixian Xiaochu store, three months after opening, averages over 500 orders per day, significantly boosting traffic and growth for other quality restaurants within a 3-kilometer radius. By the end of 2026, Qixian Xiaochu plans to cover all first- and second-tier cities nationwide, allowing more consumers to enjoy a variety of dishes and attentive service.

The full disclosure of core ingredient origins and continuous upgrades of food safety measures inject new vitality into the catering industry. By empowering the supply chain to promote industry standards, benefiting more consumers, Qixian Xiaochu is gradually growing into an important force that strictly adheres to food safety standards.
