🔥Senior U.S. officials: No threats received regarding Iran attacking ships
According to AXIOS, senior U.S. officials said they received no threats regarding Iran attacking ships. Previously, Iran said it had monitored a U.S. destroyer sailing from the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates toward the Strait of Hormuz. After monitoring its movements, Iran’s armed forces immediately informed the Iranian delegation negotiating in Pakistan. The delegation conveyed its position to the U.S. side through Pakistani mediators and warned the destroyer: if it continued to approach the Strait of Hormuz, it would be struck within 30 minutes, and the negotiations would also be affected. With Iran’s armed forces delivering a firm response and the negotiation team issuing a timely warning, the U.S. side ultimately ordered the destroyer to stop moving forward, turn around, and return.
