U.S. State Department: One person involved in the kidnapping of an American journalist in Iraq has been detained
On March 31 local time, the U.S. State Department stated that an individual associated with the Iran-backed militia group “Hezbollah Brigades” is believed to have been involved in the kidnapping of an American journalist in Baghdad, Iraq, and has been detained by Iraqi authorities. Currently, no Iraqi militia group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Iran has not responded to this matter. (CCTV News)
