On March 31 local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan held a phone call regarding the latest regional situation. Fidan mentioned the recent quadripartite foreign ministers’ meeting held in Islamabad, Pakistan, emphasizing that regional countries support stopping the war and achieving peace and stability. Araghchi briefed on the latest developments in the United States and Israel’s war against Iran, stressing that governments have a responsibility to condemn the crimes committed by aggressors, especially their attacks on schools, research centers, historic and cultural buildings, production facilities, energy facilities, and residential areas. He said that the publicly made statements by U.S. officials threatening to attack Iran’s energy and production facilities are themselves a criminal threat, clearly showing that the United States openly disregards the basic principles of international law and human rights. The international community needs to respond firmly to this. Araghchi also said that Iran adheres to the principle of good-neighborliness and respects Turkey’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. (CCTV News)
