Elon Musk: A single AI6 chip is expected to reach the performance level of dual SoC AI5.
Elon Musk posted on March 18th local time that the performance of AI5 will far exceed its specifications because Tesla’s entire AI software stack is designed to maximize the utilization of every circuit, with AI software and hardware being co-optimized. AI5 is mainly optimized for edge computing in Optimus and Robotaxi. Musk stated that AI5 still has significant room for improvement. Under the same wafer area and process node, a single AI6 chip is expected to achieve the performance level of double SoC AI5. (Jiemian News)
