Trump says Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei may be “injured but still alive.”

On March 12th local time, CCTV reporters learned that U.S. President Trump stated that he believes Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei may be “injured but still alive.” When asked during an interview whether Mujtaba Khamenei is still alive, Trump responded, “I think he might still be alive.” On February 28th, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran. Since the attack, Mujtaba has not appeared publicly. On March 12th local time, Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei delivered his first statement on national television, mainly focusing on domestic unity, external conflicts, regional relations, and mourning the late leader Ali Khamenei.
