The first regional collaborative legislation in the field of government service in our country will come into effect on May 1.

On March 26, 27, and 31, the Standing Committees of the People’s Congresses of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces and cities respectively voted to approve the “Regulations on Promoting the ‘One-Stop’ Government Service in the Yangtze River Delta” (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”). The Regulations of the three provinces and one city will jointly come into effect on May 1, 2026. The Regulations are another significant achievement in the regional legislative cooperation to support the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. They are also the first regional collaborative legislation in the field of government services nationwide, and an important legal measure to consolidate the reform achievements of the Yangtze River Delta integration through the rule of law, improve governance efficiency, and support reform and innovation.
