Houthi rebels in Yemen claim to "fully support" Iran and are ready to fight at any time
Yemen Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said on the evening of the 5th that the group “fully supports” Iran and is prepared to take action if events require it. Speaking in a televised address on Al-Masirah TV, which is controlled by the Houthi group, Abdul-Malik said that countries such as Israel are flagrantly violating and trying to expand the war without limits, “our hands are always on the trigger,” and that they will take action once events require it. Abdul-Malik called on his supporters to hold large-scale public mass gatherings on the 6th to show that the Yemeni people are fully on the side of the Iranian people. Earlier that day, UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg said that no side has the right to drag Yemen into a larger-scale conflict, thereby causing the Yemeni people to suffer more. Previously, the internationally recognized Yemeni government warned that the Houthis must not support Iran with any military actions, nor attempt to use Yemeni territory as a platform to attack neighboring countries or other countries. Any such actions would constitute a threat to the interests of Yemen and the Yemeni people. (CCTV News)
