The price of lithium iron phosphate drops; demand improves; March production schedule may significantly increase

This week, the price of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) was affected by the decline in lithium carbonate prices, decreasing by approximately 3,880 yuan/ton in total. The SMM lithium carbonate price dropped about 16,000 yuan/ton this week. On the production side, starting this week, due to improved downstream demand and increased orders, overall production enthusiasm among iron phosphate producers is high. Recently, market focus has been on the bidding results of battery cell manufacturers, which may influence changes in iron phosphate processing fees. On the demand side, as March enters the peak season, both power and energy storage demands have rebounded. Coupled with the recovery of natural days, it is expected that March production scheduling will significantly increase. (SMM)
