The 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Neuroscience Forum and the academic salon on “Brain Science and Brain-like Intelligence Research” hosted by Guangzhou were held in Guangzhou on the 28th. The forum focused on key topics such as prevention and treatment of cognitive disorders, early screening for rare diseases, and clinical translation of brain-computer interfaces, and released a batch of innovative clinical and industry achievements. In the face of the severe challenges for prevention and treatment of cognitive disorders brought about by population aging, during the forum, the Cognitive Disorders Medical Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was inaugurated. The center will advance standardized research and clinical translation of new rehabilitation technologies such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, cognitive training, and virtual reality.
