Mexico initiates sunset review anti-dumping investigation on Chinese steel wire ropes

On February 26, 2026, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued a notice stating that, at the request of Mexican producer Deacero, S.A.P.I. de C.V., it had initiated an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into reinforced steel wire ropes and cables (Spanish: productos de presfuerzo) originating in China, Spain, and Portugal. The TIGIE tariff codes for the products at issue are 7217.10.02, 7312.10.01, 7312.10.05, 7312.10.07, 7312.10.08, and 7312.10.99. During the period of the case investigation, the existing anti-dumping duties remain in effect. The notice takes effect starting from the day following its publication.
