Mars Finance news: The Polygon Foundation says it will activate the Giugliano hard fork on the mainnet, expected to occur at block height 85268500, at around 14:00 UTC. This upgrade is intended to improve the network’s finality speed by enabling earlier block broadcasting, introducing fee parameters into the block header, and adding RPC support for new fee data. The upgrade completed testing last month on the Amoy testnet, and the data shows that the finality time was shortened by about 2 seconds. Official guidance: node operators need to update Bor to v2.7.0 or Erigon to v3.5.0 before the upgrade. This hard fork is part of Polygon’s “Gigagas” expansion roadmap, with a focus on improving network performance and the user experience.
