On April 7, The New York Times reported that Argentinian President Javier Milei had seven phone call records with entrepreneur Mauricio Novelli, associated with the LIBRA project, on the night of February 14, 2025, when LIBRA was launched. The timing of these calls coincided with Milei’s promotional posts on X. The report also revealed newly discovered mobile forensic information, including suspected payment recordings and draft funding arrangement documents, further raising doubts about Milei’s previous claim of ‘no connection’ to the project. As of now, Milei has not been formally charged but is considered a key subject of the investigation.
