Apple announces celebration of the company's 50th anniversary

IT Home reported on March 12 that Apple today announced plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary, which will fall on April 1.

In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook released an open letter titled “Unthinkably 50 Years.”

IT Home noted that in its press release, Apple said: “Even though Apple has always been future-focused, this milestone provides us with a special moment to look back on the journey our company has taken, pay tribute to the people and communities who have helped us ‘Unthinkably’ along the way, and remember the enduring values that continue to guide our work.”

Apple said that in the coming weeks, “we will celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, honoring the creativity, innovative spirit, and far-reaching impact shown by users around the world through Apple technology.” Specific celebration activities have not yet been announced.

Cook said: “ ‘Unthinkably’ has always been at the core of Apple. It is this spirit that drives us to build products that help people express themselves, connect with one another, and create great things. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary, we sincerely thank every person who has taken part in this journey and continues to inspire us to create the future.”
