Iranian government spokesperson's office releases Announcement No. 1

On the 28th local time, Iran’s government spokesperson’s office issued Announcement No. 1 in response to the U.S. and Israel’s actions against Iran.

The announcement strongly condemns the U.S. and Israel for launching an attack during diplomatic negotiations, stating that the move is intended to undermine Iran’s territorial integrity and national unity.

In the face of provocation, the Iranian government emphasized that all ministries and administrative service agencies have fully entered an efficient and operational mode. With firm determination and strength, Iran will ensure that the country’s affairs are advanced smoothly, standing side by side with all its people to defend the homeland.

With regard to保障民生, the announcement makes it clear that the government has deployed comprehensive contingency plans in advance. At present, across the country, ample stocks of major basic living necessities such as food, fuel, and medicines are extremely abundant, and the public has no need to worry about shortages of supply.

To ensure uninterrupted public services, medical institutions and designated pharmacies throughout the country will maintain 24-hour operations, and financial systems such as banks will also continue normal services.

At the same time, to safeguard the safety of teachers and students and the overall well-being of society, schools of all levels and types across the country have implemented suspension-and-shelter-in-place measures, until further notice.

Relevant departments have also formulated special support plans for cross-city transportation and travel, calling on the general public to stay calm and pass through in an orderly manner.
